In a new weekly series, we’ll be selecting our favourite PR campaigns each week and detailing why they’re just so good that we absolutely had to turn them up to Full Volume - shouting about why we love them so much.
Last week, the biggest headlines included the Pride of Britain awards, the announced return of I’m a Celeb, Owen Paterson quits politics and a new COVID pill has been approved for the public. Important as that all may be, they’re not quite as entertaining as these, truly brilliant, PR campaigns.
1. Tropicana does tooth paste
A tale as old as time, Orange juice and toothpaste are not a match made in heaven. Until now. Tropicana have released their very own toothpaste that perfectly compliments OJ so rest assured, people can continue to enjoy their breakfast without the terrible toothpaste aftertaste.
2. Secret flight insight
It seems as teenagers we might have been on to something running to the back of the bus to secure the “coolest” spot. A flight attended recently revealed that the back four rows are in fact the best seat in the house, or plane. Passengers have the best chance of good grub, close to the toilets and not too much disturbance - ideal!
3. Scared sleepless
Using online reviews, Mattress online, uncovered which films scare us sleepless! Key phrases such as; sleepless night, can’t sleep and nightmare were analysed to find out which scary movies are keeping us up at night! The results were collated into an online database ensuring those all important links too -lovely work!
4. Cheese board baths
According to Iceland, the optimum room temperature for eating cheese is actually whilst having a bath. The moisture is perfect for a diary delicacy and so Iceland were quick to jump on the news releasing a cheese board for baths. To add to the fun, 2021 Love Island contestant, Priya, posed with the product as she famously had a huge issue with her coupled up partner for not loving Brie!
5. Heinz release BIGsoup
This week, Heinz announced that they will be releasing a £1.50 Christmas Dinner tinned soup! Filled with 'big chunks' of turkey as well as sprouts and stuffing, the big Soup Christmas Dinner also has roasties, pigs in blankets and a gravy and cranberry sauce. No surprise, the soup sold in minutes!
